850Hoodia/Hoodia850 Review

850Hoodia/Hoodia850

Known both as 850 Hoodia and Hoodia 850, this product is based as you would guess on the South African hoodia gordonii cactus. It bases all its claims on coverage seen on 60 minutes and Oprah. Its main claims it that Hoodia850 suppresses appetite. And by doing this, it claims to get you in the best shape of your life.

Ingredients and Mechanism of Action

Though Hoodia850 does not provide an official ingredients list, the only ingredient they do mention is 850mg of supposed hoodia gordonii. But despite what the media would lead you to believe, most "hoodia" found in diet pills is actually made up of cacti in the same family and not actual hoodia. In addition, the real thing hasn't even been clinically proven to do anything, let alone suppress appetite.

All the claims of appetite suppression are based on the fact that the South African bushmen use this plant on extended hunting expeditions and the fact that Africans are generally seen as thin individuals. However, one should consider that a significant number of individuals in Africa are thin, because they are starving and suffer from malnutrition.

Overall Impression of 850Hoodia/Hoodia850:

As with many hoodia supplements, we are not impressed with 850Hoodia. They don't provide even a supposed certification for their hoodia, and they fail to include other weight loss ingredients such as proven fat burners, thermogenic ingredients, etc. If hoodia were proven and they could verify the authenticity of theirs, we might suggest paying around $10-$20 for Hoodia850. However, under no circumstances would we advise paying $60.
