Ab Cuts CLAx Review
Ab Cuts remains a dominant force in the fitness and weight loss industry, and now they’re adding to their already large product line with Ab Cuts CLAx.
Said to trigger a modest reduction in body fat, an improvement in muscle tone, and overall physique enhancement, Ab Cuts CLAx is a fairly simple product with a simple formula. While many Ab Cuts products use CLA, Ab Cuts CLAx is the first to use only CLA.
Of course, getting a CLA supplement at your local nutrition store is also possible. What makes buying CLA from Ab Cuts worth it, if at all?
Who Makes the Ab Cuts Line?
Ab Cuts is a very popular line, but what do you know about the company behind it?
The Ab Cuts line, including Ab Cuts CLAx, is manufactured by Corr-Jensen, a supplement company based in Centennial, Colorado. Founded in 2005 by fitness buff Matt Heese, Corr-Jensen has high profit margins and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Furthermore, there hasn’t been a single complaint against Corr-Jensen in the past 3 years.
This is an impressive achievement in the diet pill industry, where many companies engage in shady business practices and have multiple customer complaints on file. Knowing this, I’m more willing to trust Corr-Jensen products and the Ab Cuts line to provide decent products.
Even if CLAx turns out to be a let-down, at least you know you won’t be roped into an auto-ship program or a supposed refund that only returns part of your money. On that score, you can feel at ease.
What’s in CLAx?
As mentioned previously, there’s just one ingredient in Ab Cuts CLAx—conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
While most fat burners stimulate the central nervous system to create heat and burn fat, CLA takes a different approach. CLA reduces fat deposits and preserves muscle without affecting the central nervous system, meaning it has fewer side effects than other fat burners.
CLA is also linked to lower cholesterol and less inflammation in fat cells, making it good for your health.
CLA has been tested and proven effective in several clinical studies. In a 2000 study, 180 overweight adults were given either CLA or olive oil as a placebo. After 1 year, those taking CLA showed a 7 to 9% reduction in body fat mass. Subjects who made changes to diet and exercise habits benefitted even more. These effects were not observed in the placebo group .
The CLA dosage in CLAx mirrors the dosage used in this study—3.4 g daily. This suggests CLAx provides the same fat loss benefits.
However, CLA’s effectiveness is not a foregone conclusion. Some studies show CLA has no effect on weight loss, while others even link CLA with weight gain.
In a 2006 study, researchers observed subjects who took the recommended daily 3.4 g of CLA for 1 year. Despite CLA supplementation, subject still gained between 8 to 10 pounds .
The most universally-agreed upon conclusion is CLA works best alongside an existing diet and exercise routine. If you aren’t implementing other weight loss strategies, CLA will likely do nothing for you.
Luckily, the 3.4 g in Ab Cuts CLAx is the appropriate amount and derived from safflower oil, a good CLA source. If you’re dieting and exercising as you should, this product may improve your weight loss outcomes.
How Do You Take Ab Cuts CLAx?
Ab Cuts CLAx provides all your daily CLA needs, but it requires you to take continual doses throughout the day.
Corr-Jensen recommends taking 1 softgel 3 times daily, preferably with food.
If you can remember to take Ab Cuts CLAx 3 times a day, I don’t see any difficulty with these usage instructions, though it may require some planning on your part. It would be nice to take all 3 doses at once, however.
Could It Cause Side Effects?
CLA is a safe supplement, but may cause side effects in some users. These include:
• Stomach upset
Hopefully taking CLAx with meals and drinking plenty of water will mitigate some of these side effects. If you do have problems, wait a few days before ceasing use. If your body isn’t used to CLA, it may react adversely at first and then settle down.
How Much Does Ab Cuts CLAx Cost?
Ab Cuts CLAx is a brand new product, so availability is somewhat limited. Right now, you can find it on Amazon.com or Bodybuilding.com for $24.98. With 120 capsules, each bottle lasts a little over a month.
This actually isn’t a bad price. Though slightly more expensive than some competing CLA supplements, it’s more affordable than I expected.
Is It Worth a Shot?
I usually don’t like 1-ingredient formulas because they provide the same benefits as a standard nutritional supplement at a much higher price. However, Ab Cuts CLAx doesn’t look so bad.
It provides a quality CLA source for a fairly affordable price. While you could likely find a CLA product with a lower price, it’s nice to know Ab Cuts CLAx has been pre-measured and each dose is the exact CLA dosage needed to promote fat loss benefits.
However, if you’re looking for a more powerful weight loss product, CLAx will likely not be your cup of tea. CLAx is designed to support a rigorous diet and exercise program, not replace weight loss efforts. The benefits you’ll see from CLAx will be modest.
