The Acai Berry Detox uses a “free trial offer” to rope you in. That gives you 15 days, “beginning on the day that you place an order for a product from the website, your fifteen day free trial period begins. Your trial period is calculated in calendar days, not business days…Generally, your product is shipped 3 to 5 days after placing your order. Delivery time is subtracted from your free trial period, and will reduce the number of days allocated to your free trial period.” Sounds fun right? So basically, you get maybe 7 days, if you’re lucky, to try a product out that you really should have at least 30 days to try, and then they start shipping you a $87.13 order every month, “missing” your calls, not shipping your products out on time, etc. This is a worthless product, and you will likely have to cancel your credit card to get the charges to stop. But you won’t recover the money already spent.

I had no problem getting in touch with the company. I’ve had no problem canceling my auto ship, and I’ve definitely been able to stop them from coming. I have more energy, but not weight loss.

So far, the second bottle is just sitting here. I think it’s a scam so far. I’ve been using the Acai Berry Detox for about a week now. But so far, I can’t tell the difference.

I used to work at a company that did stuff like this. I used to think how stupid people were, because it was printed on the flyer that you would be signed up for an auto ship for this much and if you cancelled before paying for a bottle, you would pay a certain price with the credit card you put on your order for shipping and handling. But when I was tricked, it wasn’t the same. I can’t believe I didn’t think about it. I really should’ve read the fine print on the website, which was where I bought it. Part of the reason why I didn’t have a problem with it before was because when we were told to cancel an order, we just did it. I talked to 3 different customer service agents, and each time, I was assured that my order was cancelled. I’ve been in the business before, and I know how the programs work. They make them so that anybody, even a 5 year old could do it right, and yet it took 3 times.

I heard it’s a bad scam. But I should’ve read more, because I used it anyway. I tried the Acai Berry Detox, and I didn’t see any results. When I got the second package about a week after I actually got the first, I was still willing to give it a try. I should’ve just sent it back. I cancelled the auto ship after that. But I didn’t lose weight. I lost 2 pounds in 2 months, which was by default.
