Benzedrine is a unique form of amphetamine which was once popular in the west and was ruled back in the 1950s as a prescription drug by the FDA. However, you can easily find Benzedrine online through various retailers and manufacturers as a supplement for energy, supposedly boosting your caloric expenditure so you can lose more weight than ever before.
This particular brand of Benzedrine is produced by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals and is advertised as a product that pioneers a new generation of fat loss and energy boost supplementation. Supposedly this formula takes weight loss combines an amazing blend of stimulants and phenylethylamine alkaloids to give you supercharge your metabolism and help you lose your weight loss goals.
Yet is Benzedrine as safe and effective as we hope?
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action
Benzedrine ingredients include Acacia rigidula, Phenylethylamine, Methylsynephrine, N-methyl phenylethylamine, N-benzyl alpha phenylethylamine, N-methyl phenylethylamine, Theobromine, Alpha phenylethylamine HCL, Synephrine HCL, 5 methoxytryptamine HCL, L-tyrosine, and Caffeine anhydrous.
When most dieters see a long list of ingredients such as the ones above, they immediately think “wow, those ingredients look scientific” or “that’s definitely not natural,” and both responses would be correct to an extent. Let’s break down a few of these ingredients to see what kind of effect Benzedrine will really have.
Phenylethylamine (and its various forms found in this formula) is often dubbed the “love drug” due to its abilities to create a euphoric reaction in the brain, naturally increasing energy levels for a nice little pick me up.
Acacia Rigidula, on the other hand, contains amphetamine components that can increase alertness and heighten mental acuity, and some studies even suggest that Acacia Rigidula can inhibit lipolysis (the breakdown of fat) and boost the metabolism.
Synephrine, or Bitter Orange, is also a stimulant that can interact with the nervous system to deliver a rush of energy. Many manufacturers turned to Synephrine as a natural replacement for Ephedra as it exhibits similar effects.

Let’s start with the things I like about Benzedrine. Benzedrine has some pretty amazing ingredients, all of which are powerful in their own way. Most of these ingredients are fat burners. But phenylethylamine could be the natural market’s most powerful appetite suppressant!
With so many stimulants, it’s easy to see why Benzedrine could help you burn more calories and lose more weight than ever before, and for less than $30 a bottle, it almost seems like a good deal.
But Benzedrine Found Other Ways To Cut Costs
For one thing, Benzedrine sells through third party retailers, meaning there’s no return policy or money back guarantee.
My main complaint, however, is that Benzedrine does not have the clinically proven amounts of anything. It has only small proprietary blends, and Benzedrine uses quite a few fillers. Fillers do not help you to lose weight (in case you haven’t noticed).
Additionally, all of the ingredients found in Benzedrine are notorious for causing side effects such as headaches, dizziness, nausea, jitters, etc. and using so many in the same formula means that you’re going to get more side effects that actual weight loss benefits.
Overall Impression of Benzedrine
Benzedrine is good at pretending to be better than it actually is. Despite claims to be the amazing prescription alternative that is so much better than the original Benzedrine, it’s actual formula is in no way comparable to Benzedrine the prescription, and Benzedrine does not have any weight loss benefits either.
You’d be better off using a more comprehensive formula that attacks fat from multiple angles, such as Phenphedrine or Apidextra to help you lose weight than relying heavily on stimulants to burn extra calories.
