BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim Review
Promoted as a solution for emotional eaters and lifetime dieters, BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim relies on hydroxycitric acid to enhance weight loss.
According to the product label, BioGenetic Laboratories released Garcinia Trim in 2013 after “America’s most trusted doctor” talked about garcinia cambogia on TV. This doctor called garcinia cambogia a “revolutionary” natural weight loss ingredient.
The product label for BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim also cites a garcinia cambogia study. Most diet pill ads and labels aren’t as up-front with consumers about ingredient research, which bodes well for Garcinia Trim.
I like that BioGenetic Laboratories is dedicated to using tested ingredients in its diet pills. But, I wanted to examine the evidence for myself before trusting Garcinia Trim as a revolutionary weight loss solution.
What Does Research Show about Garcinia Cambogia?
The research cited on the Garcinia Trim product label is a meta-analysis of several garcinia cambogia weight loss studies. A meta-analysis is an effective way of assessing whether an ingredient produces consistent, repeatable results. This meta-analysis looked at 12 studies of garcinia cambogia extract in total.
According to the meta-analysis, garcinia extract’s main weight loss effects are usually credited to hydroxycitric acid. Some studies included in the meta-analysis showed significant fat loss, while others didn’t.
In interpreting these results, scientists noted none of the examined studies were perfect. They also noticed studies with fewer participants showed more promising results. They concluded garcinia extracts “generate weight loss on the short term” but the effect is small.
Does Garcinia Trim Contain Tested Dosages?
A 2-capsule serving of Garcinia Trim has 750 mg garcinia cambogia extract. The extract has been standardized to have 60% hydroxycitric acid. The label recommends taking 2 servings daily. When used according to directions, Garcinia Trim gives people 1500 mg garcinia extract per day.
In a 1998 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, overweight people took 1500 mg garcinia extract for 12 weeks. Unfortunately, scientists observed no significant weight or fat loss.
On the plus side, Garcinia Trim uses a tested dosage of garcinia cambogia. But, that dosage doesn’t always cause weight loss, so Garcinia Trim may not produce results for all users.
Do Garcinia Trim Users Report Results?
Garcinia Trim’s product label has positive reviews from several users. Here’s what they have to say:
• Melanie: “I dropped pounds fast and got down to size 4. This was easier than I thought.”
• James C.: “I was skeptical at first, but Garcinia worked marvelously well! I’m so glad I used it.”
• Kim B.: “I can’t believe how flat my belly is now. It worked for me, and I’m sure it can for you too!”
A few consumers also left reviews on Amazon.com. Most of these reviewers also felt BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim worked as advertised. They report decreased appetite, looser-fitting clothes, and exercise-free weight loss.
But, a few Garcinia Trim users reported gaining weight and having an increased appetite while on this product. It seems Garcinia Trim works for some users but not for everyone.
How Does Garcinia Trim’s Price Compare?
BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim is sold online and in big-box chain retailers for about $30 to $40 a bottle. Based on search engine results, that price range is similar to many other garcinia cambogia diet products. The best deal is $29.99 from eSupplements.com.
However, I noticed some garcinia cambogia products sell for much less, $10 to $15. In the case of these low prices, the diet pills usually contain lower dosages, a lesser percentage of hydroxycitric acid, or fewer servings.
Some consumers might appreciate paying more for Garcinia Trim to ensure they’re getting a tested dosage of high-quality garcinia extract.
Will It Cause Side Effects?
In randomized clinical trials of garcinia cambogia, people reported the following side effects:
• Skin rash
• Gastrointestinal distress
Those side effects are minor, so garcinia is generally safe. Avoid or discontinue garcinia cambogia use if these side effects bother you.
Is BioGenetic Laboratories Garcinia Trim Worth Using?
Garcinia cambogia extracts have earned high praise from many doctors and consumers, and Garcinia Trim is no exception. Several Garcinia Trim users report satisfying weight loss which they credit to this diet pill.
However, not all research on garcinia cambogia indicates this ingredient causes weight loss. Plus, some Garcinia Trim users didn’t notice the results they’d expected.
On the plus side, Garcinia Trim uses a standardized and tested dosage of hydroxycitric acid. And, research shows garcinia cambogia extract causes only minor side effects in some users. If you want to try a garcinia cambogia extract, Garcinia Trim might be a good place to start.
