Carb Intercept Review
Carb Intercept with Phase 2 is a dietary supplement claimed to help control carbs, metabolize fat, and support weight loss.
Is it possible to eat mouthwatering carbs and still get fit? To see if Carb Intercept actually fulfills its promises I had to learn more.
How Is Carb Intercept with Phase 2 Supposed to Work?
According to its website, “Natrol Carb Intercept supports a low-carb lifestyle by controlling carbohydrates found in breads, cereals, rice, pasta and other starch-containing foods.”
Essentially, Carb Intercept diverts calories from carbs before they are digested and made into fat. So instead of having to deprive yourself of your favorite starchy foods, you can indulge and still lose weight.
Although it is definitely a tempting idea, I can’t be sold on the concept until I see a clinically-proven formula.
To counteract the effects of calorically-heavy carbs, Carb Intercept with Phase 2 needs some exceptional ingredients. Here is a breakdown of this weight loss supplement’s formula:
• White Kidney Bean Extract (Phaseolus vulgaris) 1000.00 mg. This fiber interferes, with the absorption of foods that contain a lot of starches or carbs.
It is claimed that white kidney bean extract attaches itself to starch molecules in the stomach and small intestine. This attachment creates a molecule that is too big to be absorbed through intestinal walls. Thus, carbohydrates are excreted as waste.
A study was recently published on the effects of white kidney bean extract. Of 60 slightly overweight volunteers, those who took white kidney bean extract supplements lost more weight than the placebo. This weight loss is significant considering participants consumed 2,000-2,200 calories including rich carbs each day.
In fact, white kidney bean extract was even featured on the Dr. Oz show as one of his favorite fat busters.
• Chromium from Food-Bound Chromium 20 mg. Chromium is an essential mineral needed to metabolize fats and proteins. In addition, chromium can reduce cravings for carbs by increasing insulin sensitivity.
Although not specifically a carb blocker, chromium can definitely facilitate weight loss.
• Calcium from Dibasic Calcium Phosphate 190.00 mg. This ingredients main purpose is to make the capsules large enough to swallow. Essentially, this ingredient is nothing more than filler.
Carb Intercept with Phase 2 Safety and Side Effects
Fortunately, the ingredients in Carb Intercept are quite safe. White kidney bean extract can cause bloating, gas, nausea and vomiting, but that is only in rare cases.
Speak with your physician before taking Carb Intercept if you are pregnant, nursing, on any prescription medication, or concerned for any medical conditions you may have.
How to Use Carb Intercept with Phase 2
Take two pills immediately before meals containing carbohydrates. Do not take more than 4 pills per day.
For best results, the manufacturer stresses that Carb Intercept must be taken with a healthy calorie reduction, and exercise program.
There are many reviews for Carb Intercept online. Most give high praises for this carb blocker.
I’ve highlighted some of the reviews that depict the most average responses for Carb Intercept:
“I have high blood pressure and needed to lose weight. Saw this on Dr. Oz as well and tried it. I have lost 5 pounds per month since starting. It has not affected my blood pressure or made me jittery like other products have in the past. I have told all my friends and family how easy it has been to finally take off the unwanted pounds.” –laura.rogers. GNC.com
“When I know that I am about to have a meal high in carbs, then I take them. I have lost 20 lbs. and have successfully kept it off for a year. This is the 1st time I can say that eating carbs do not cause a blood sugar spike. Carb foods no longer control my life.” –Carol. Evitamins.com
“Slow Start…haven’t noticed any changes yet.” –cdegraaff. GNC.com
“I’m almost finished with the 60 Capsules and I don’t see a difference. I took 4 capsules a day. I’m giving this another try and order one more bottle to see if this product just takes a bit longer, but so far no change.” –Health conscious, GNC.com
• 120 Capsules: $35.99
• 60 Capsules: $13.20.
• 120 Capsules: $19.80
• 60 Capsules: $19.99. With Gold Purchase: $15.99
It’s easy to be skeptical about Carb Intercept. This product literally says you can have your cake and eat it too. However, the research behind Carb Intercept’s main ingredient does seem to support weight loss.
Nevertheless, Carb Intercept is far from a magic bullet. Results seem to be polar, with many consumers seeing no results at all. You might want to opt for a diet pill with more established results.
