The sole ingredient in Chromax is chromium picolinate, which can actually be found in a number of dietary products. However, the only studies conducted on chromium picolinate in conjunction with weight loss have either failed or shown only minimal results in athletes or others who participate in a rigorous diet and exercise plan. And while chromium picolinate has been deemed “safe” by the FDA, it has not been approved to promote weight loss.

Overall Impression of Chromax:

Chromax makes a lot of big claims and insinuates a lot of ideas. However, a lot of it is misleading, which is probably why the FTC investigated Nutrition 21 in 1996 for unsubstantiated claims. Chromax may be cheap compared to some of its competitors, but you get what you pay for.
