FirmSlim is an anti-cellulite mousse that was manufactured by Transformulas to help you “slim and contour your body.”

Even though we’d love to believe that there’s a topical agent that can penetrate our skin and get rid of fat, we’re only interested in it if it works. So we did a little digging to see if FirmSlim could actually bring anything to the table.

Background

FirmSlim was originally produced and marketed by Transformulas as a topical agent that could help you lose weight and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

However, Transformulas has since stopped the production of FirmSlim because there was simply no demand for the product. Now, FirmSlim is only available for sale from second party distributors.

History

This product was designed in the United Kingdom and most of its sales have remained within the British Isles.

Though it is unclear what Transformulas originally claimed FirmSlim to be able to do, it is now marketed as a skin product that can combat cellulite by firming and smoothing the skin, eliminating toxins, and acting as a diuretic.

Ingredients

Despite the fact that FirmSlim’s comprehensive ingredient list is not published, there are certain telltale qualities about FirmSlim that let us in on what it’s made of.

For example, FirmSlim is advertised as having a “thermogenically active” formula, as well as being a diuretic. This leads us to believe that FirmSlim’s formula is based on caffeine.

Our Opinion

Unfortunately, no topical cream can actually get rid of your cellulite. Cellulite is merely a layer of fat underneath your skin that even the skinniest people have.

The reason why it shows up dimply and mottled underneath your skin is not because you have too much cellulite, but because your skin is too thin and the fat shows through.

Caffeine based creams can initially affect the amount of cellulite you can see by dehydrating the skin and pulling it tighter and firmer. However, this usually only lasts until you take a drink of water or walk around a bit.

Because FirmSlim is a discontinued product, and because it won’t work long enough to be worth its cost, we don’t recommend buying FirmSlim Anti Cellulite Mousse.
