Lipo 6 Review

Produced by a company called Nutrex, Lipo 6 is strongly marketed toward body builders. They use a liquid capsule to provide fast acting results, maximum strength, superior absorption, attack stored fat, and control appetite. The recommended dose is 2 capsules 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch.

Ingredients and Mechanism of Action

Lipo-6 is clear in their marketing. They market toward a muscle building community, and they also provide a full product label. By that, I mean they use no proprietary blends, nor do they use any other method to hide or mask their ingredients list. For the objective, the ingredient list is optimum including synephrine, guggulsterones, yohimbe, caffeine anhydrous, and bioperine. Their website is littered with multiple customer testimonials including before and after pictures.

The basic ingredients of Lipo-6 are popularly used in body building supplements. However, their product label is littered with a list of warnings including “DO NOT EXCEED 4-LIQUI-CAPS PER DAY” and other ways to say do not take more than we tell you to. They warn of side effects including but not limited to: rapid heart beat, dizziness, severe headaches, and shortness of breath. It’s not for people under 18, those who are pregnant or nursing, those who consume any other form of caffeine, those using medications (ie antidepressants, MAOI inhibitors, asprin, anti-inflammatories, etc), or for those with diseases such as heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, or thyroid disease. So who can take this product? But they don’t say all of this for no reason. Their ingredients have been known to cause a number of side effects. Synephrine for example has caused ischemic stroke, increased blood pressure, and cardiac infarcts. In addition, caffeine anhydrous has caused jitteriness, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, and elevated heart beat to name a few. So let’s say you fit into the box Lipo-6 has dictated. You want to build muscle, you have no major health conditions and don’t take any medications, you don’t drink caffeine, you are over 18, and you are not pregnant or nursing. There is a chance this product won’t work anyway. One of the main ingredients, guggulsterones, has been studied and found to be highly effective. The problem is that it has only been found effective in its brown (not yellow)form, and 99% of manufacturing companies only use the yellow form(which is basically useless). When you do find the brown form, it requires a dose of 30-60mg 3 times per day. Lipo-6 only provides 20mg, and the product can be taken a maximum of 2 times per day. The other major body building ingredient, yohimbe, has never actually been proven to do anything.

Overall Summary of Lipo 6

Lipo-6 creates an excessively small group of people who they expect to use their product. They block some, because not everybody wants to be a body builder. Others are blocked because of medical conditions, medications, or possible side effects. They emphasize the use of “liquid-caps” for maximum absorption. But the fact is, in regard to rate of absorption, liqui-caps are no better than any others. Nutrex seems to focus their advertising on things that don’t matter, possibly to draw attention away from factors that do. There is no reason to waste any time or money on Lipo-6.

I have taken Lipo 6 on and off for a couple years now to help me stay in shape. Unless you are able to go to the gym for about an hour everyday and work out hard you will not see the results. If you’re looking to work out hard, build muscle, and cut down on body fat this product can work. However, your gonna have to work for results and I don't really know if the results I got were from the product or the exercise I was putting into getting results.
