It works as an appetite suppressant, and they claim it is scientifically proven. One study cited showed that after 30-60 minutes of taking a 3g dose or 3000mg of pinnothin, subjects experienced a higher rate of satiety than those with a placebo. A second study showed a 9% reduction in food intake and a 7% reduction in caloric intake. It is developed from the Korean pine nut, and though there can be allergic reactions, there are no other side effects that they have discovered as of yet. On the official Pinnothin website, they site several products that apparently contain this ingredient. This ingredient looks promising, and we look forward to further studies and products. However, it may be difficult to find a product that actually contains the required 3g. It is difficult to find a product that contains the required 1g of glucomannan.
