Although this product is not endorsed by Dr. Oz specifically, Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract is advertised as the perfect solution to “start burning fat now!”
Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract supposedly suppresses appetite and increases serotonin levels to improve your mood.
But does this all-natural supplement deserve the attention?
I can’t help but a little skeptical, so I did a little research of my own. Here’s what I found. . .

Calcium – 50 mg. Calcium is an essential part of bones and teeth, though it is also found in the blood, muscles, and other tissue. Calcium prevents oseteoporosis and may make an effective solution for lowering blood pressure and even promoting weight loss. 
Chromium – 200 mcg. Chromium picolinate is a mineral that plays a role in carbohydrate breakdown and utilization. Studies suggest chromium may reduce hunger cravings, but it does not have a direct impact on weight loss.  
Potassium – 50 mg. Potassium plays a role in nerve signal transmissions, muscle contractions, and fluid balance. It is also required for proper calcium absorption. Some experts recommend taking 48-90 mg daily to reduce blood pressure. 
Garcinia Cambogia (60% HCA) – 1000 mg. Garcinia cambogia is a tasteless, odorless herbal extract commonly used to treat obesity. It is said to increase serotonin levels and inhibit fat synthesis, making it easier to lose weight.
Are There Any Side Effects to Worry About?
Garcinia cambogia research is limited, so its full effects (both positive and negative) have yet to be determined.
