purisalv

Purisalv is a supplement that is supposed to help you suppress your appetite, boost your metabolism and increase your endurance.

Although many products have claimed to do all these things and more, we were intrigued when we saw that Purisalv claimed to be able to do all of this with just one ingredient: chia seeds.

So we decided to take a closer look at Purisalv to see if chia seeds were really going to be as effective as they say.

What It Does

Unfortunately, most of Purisalv’s website is devoted to all the things that chia seeds can do, rather than how they do it.

For example, Purisalv doesn’t limit chia seeds to just weight loss, in fact it says that chia can help detoxify and cleanse your body, give you all day energy, and even slow the aging process.

But rather than break chia seeds down scientifically and explain how they interact with the body to produce these results, Purisalv just gives false reports of celebrity and magazine endorsements.

They have quotes from people like Dr. Oz and excerpts from reputable magazines like Time Magazine, all explaining that chia is a miraculous seed, but never saying why exactly.

How It Does It

Although Purisalv doesn’t talk about the chemical reaction chia seeds have on the body, they do say that you can enjoy all of chia’s benefits by just adding some of the seeds to our favorite, non-carbonated drink, stirring and enjoying.

Even though this birdseed cocktail doesn’t exactly look like the most appetizing thing we could dream of, we’re willing to swallow it down if it brings the promise of weight loss.

However, we’re not convinced that it will.

Research has shown that chia seeds are reasonably high in Omega-3 fatty acids, but they don’t seem to have anything else remarkable about them. In fact, the FDA hasn’t even classified them as food which is why you can only get them in supplement form.

Would We Buy It?

Because Purisalv doesn’t explain how chia seeds work, and because they have taken advantage of celebrities’ reputation to upsell their product, we wouldn’t buy this product.
