Relacore Review
Marketed by Basic Research, Relacore blames major body fat problems on cortisol. It promises to reduce stress which will reduce cortisol which will reduce body fat mainly in the stomach, buttocks, and thighs. The main ingredient is Magnolia bark. It is said to specifically target stubborn belly fat.
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action
Cortisol has been called the "stress hormone" and relacore has been shown to reduce stress in some individuals. So it may help individuals with certain stress induced conditions. It also contains DHEA, which has been used to decrease cholesterol.
Maybe Relacore didn't hear. But the Federal Trade Commission and the FDA cracked down on the product Cortislim for their marketing practices. They were claiming that cortisol was the cause of body fat stores and their product could reduce excess cortisol. That sounds just like what Relacore claims! The fact is there are no studies to back up the idea that cortisol traps large amounts of body fat and causes obesity, nor are there any studies to support the idea that Relacore can combat that problem if it existed. They use ingredients that are great for certain purposes. But you won't find the ingredient list on their website, because it has never been proven to fight excess fat or to promote weight loss in any way, shape, or form.
If you do a little digging, you will find that the company behind Relacore already has a history with the FTC. As an example, they produced a "research paper" supposedly written by a physician. The individual who wrote it did have a PhD, but in herbs. Then they used this "research paper", took out a few parts, and replaced the product name throughout the paper (with Zantrax-3). They have also been known to make claims of supposed clinical studies, but without anything to validly back up those claims.
Overall Impression of Relacore:
Relacore is on shaky ground, being that they can't actually prove cortisol builds up in high enough amounts to cause major belly fat. But they also use a formula they won't reveal on their website, because its ingredients haven't been proven to work. Then you add the company history, and the grave just keeps getting deeper. All in all, I wouldn't conduct business dealings with the company behind Relacore, let alone purchase Relacore itself.
