Sensa Reviews

Sensa

Sensa is pretty unique as far as a weight loss aid because it’s not a diet pill, it’s not a diet; it’s actually different than most diet aids out there.

Basically, Sensa is a packet of, what the makers call, Tastant Crystals you sprinkle on your food to help you feel full faster. The idea is you end up eating less and start losing weight.

Of course, you can already see it’s not a traditional approach to weight loss. A lot of people are looking for something that can help them eat less, but if you want more than that, you might want to look into a more traditional diet pill.

Sensa is supposed to trigger the satiety center in your brain through your sense of smell, making you feel full without eating as much. Thus the fewer calories you’re consuming, the easier it is to lose weight.

Most people want to know if this unique approach to weight loss really leads to successful weight loss. I’ve heard from both sides so I wanted to take a closer look for myself.

What is Sensa Exactly?

Sensa comes in a shaker you sprinkle on your food any time you eat. You’ll actually be sprinkling a combination of maltrodextrin, tricalcium phosphate, silica and flavoring on your food.

Maltrodextrin is derived from corn and is often used as a sugar substitute while tricalcium phosphate increases serum calcium and triggers a chemical in the brain that causes the feeling of fullness.

The sprinkles are calorie-free, sugar-free and sodium-free.

There are a couple studies sponsored by Sensa on the sprinkles but nothing that’s been peer reviewed and fitness experts aren’t exactly supportive of Sensa.

How Do You Use Sensa?

Sensa is designed to work over a 6-month period; you get 2 shakers you can use each month. Sensa instructs users the best way to ensure you’re always using their products is to keep one shaker at home and the other with you at all times, to help you no matter where you eat. Which is a good idea because then you can have it at a restaurant or where ever you’re eating.

Using Sensa is as easy as using salt and pepper, simply sprinkle it on your food before you eat. The idea behind Sensa is you don’t have to give up your favorite foods, starve yourself or even change your diet. You’re basically just eating less of what you normally eat because you will feel full faster.

Sensa Pros

The main strength of Sensa lays in the customer success stories. Of course, you’ll find all kinds of positive stories on the Sensa homepage, but just read below and you’ll see others who have left their comments on the benefits they’ve seen from Sensa. Like I mentioned earlier, some people really didn’t see results but some did.

Sensa is easy to use, there’s been studies conducted on the validity of the sense of smell and feelings of hunger. If you actually eat less, you really will lose weight. Basically, it’s that easy. But Sensa is that simple.

It’s not always going to help you eat less; individuals still are in control with what they eat.

Sensa Cons

Because Sensa is sprinkled over the top of any food you eat, there is no incentive to make lifestyle changes that will improve your overall health or help you see lasting results after you quit using Sensa. The best weight loss is a result of exercise and an overhaul in your diet, but Sensa doesn’t require either of these things. Honestly, I think it would be nice to see Sensa explaining that adding regular exercise and eating healthy will actually help you lose even more if you combine it with Sensa.

Additionally, Sensa does not contain any fat-burners or metabolism boosters to stimulate thermogenesis, and the two main ingredients it does have are not completely proven for effectiveness. Simply stated, you eat less, you lose weight with or without Sensa.

The “study” referenced on the Sensa Website is fairly biased and you won’t see any long-term information about Sensa’s benefits. It’s one thing to lose weight, but it’s another to keep it off, and Sensa makes us wonder whether or not the formula is truly adequate for the long haul.

If you do lose weight, don’t expect immediate results. Some consumers have reported having to wait nearly three months to start seeing results.

How Much Does Sensa Cost?

Two shakers of Sensa are available for $59.00, and are expected to last for just one month, making Sensa a costly product for only a few packets each month. You can get a 6-month supply for $289 right now.

Additionally, you should be aware that when you purchase Sensa, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the company’s “auto-ship” plan, which can be difficult to cancel. To prevent any additional charges, some people opt to order with a pre-paid credit card and only have the amount for the initial purchase on the card and that way they can avoid any additional automatic charges.

However, using Sensa for just a month or two and then giving up if you don’t begin to lose weight probably isn’t a good idea. If you do decide to use Sensa, remember results can take some time.

Should I Try Sensa?

There’s little doubt Sensa can help you lose some extra weight as it helps you eat less. It really is ideal for those who struggle with overeating regularly. But if you still eat when you’re full, this may not be the answer. If you have enough self-control on your own, you may want to try eating less without Sensa. If you feel like you could use the extra help to avoid overeating and consume fewer calories, this may work. But just remember that it is going to take some time for you to see results. Find out more or buy Sensa for $59.00 by visiting the official site here.

Like other diet products and diet pills, improving your diet and getting regular exercise really are helpful so you see longer-lasting results. Sensa can work for the right person, but it’s not the answer for everyone.

I tried this stuff and I pick up six more pounds. I used this stuff on everything. It did not work for me. I think this stuff is BS. I sent the remainder of this stuff back to them and when I called to cancel my membership they tried to sell me more stuff. Unbelievable.

I have only lost 2 lbs in 6 months. We should not be allowed to be ripped off this way. The only thing I really got from Sensa was GAS GAS GAS

Sensa just costs to much.

Ritta F. Elliott Says:

I just received the product, but I am sure I am not going to spend 89 more dollars on this product. I started it because the ad on TV said it was free. I paid the $9.95, but if no results in a month…no more.

Sensa did NOT work $ me either. I’m on my 4th month and nothing. In fact, I was having lunch with my grand daughter the other day and I was sprinkling and she said “Nana is that stuff really working?” I said no i don’t think so and she said I don’t think so either. I almost gave up on it on my 3rd month but I thought if i just gave it a bit more time MAYBE, no I’m kicking my self for not returning it when I could have, it was to good to be true

I tried it and did not work for me, I didn’t lose a pound and gain 3

S.Hart Says:

Program didn’t work for me…didn’t lose a pound, which included me not taking one drink of alcohol in seven weeks. If you’re not a big eater and have problems with your metabolism, then Sensa doesn’t work. Basically you have to be an over-eater or glutton for this product to have an impact. As for people like myself, it’s just a waste of $90…as I sent months 3&4 back and dropped out of the program. Proves to me if it’s too good to be true, then it usually is.

BETSY Says:

I am on my third month of Sensa. I have only lost 3 pounds. WeightWatchers was much more effective as you not only lose the weight, you learn how to eat the right foods. I went from Weight Watchers to Sensa because I crave snacks after dinner. Sensa claimed to do that. It doesn’t. I’ll finish the 6 month program and see if I get any results.

Samplerboy Says:

ARE YOU KIDDING? This is an obvious scam if I ever saw one. Almost as bad as Protandim. Maltrodextrin and tricalcium phosphate are VERY inexpensive compounds and are NOT worth $60 a month. If you change your diet and leave out wheat, sugar and starchy vegetables you will lose 10lbs a month. I did it. No gimmicks, no scams.

I have been on Sensa for three weeks and lost 1 pound. I’m going to stay on it for six months and see what happens. So far I ahve been working out 4 times a week and eating healthy, so I don’t think it’s working.

I have been using Sensa for 3 weeks and I am down 8lbs. You must remember to shake shake sprinkle on everything you eat and stop eating when you feel full. Make sure when you eat, that you are eating because you are actually hungry and for no other reason.

Been on the program more than 6 weeks, and i have lost 18 pounds.
