Irvingia Trim Review

Irvingia Trim

Irvingia Trim is among African mango supplements to hit the market.

This supplement, like so many others before it, contains IGOB131 extract, which supposedly corrects leptin resistance and regulates appetite.

According to manufacturers, the African mango IGOB131 extract found in Irvingia Trim can “decrease CRP levels by 52% over 10 weeks.” The less CRP your body has, the more responsive it will be to leptin, which in turn makes it easier to burn fat and lose weight.

But is there more to Irvingia Trim than meets the eye?

Ingredient Information

As its name implies, Irvingia Trim contains irvingia gabonensis, or African mango. In fact, that is the only ingredient in Irvingia Trim.

African mango is a proven weight loss ingredient. There are countless studies demonstrating its effects on lipid levels, CRP, and BMI. The antioxidants in African mango eliminate toxins while the fiber-rich extract suppresses appetite and pulls excess waste from the digestive tract.

In a 2009 study published in Lipids in Health and Disease, researchers observed African mango’s effects on overweight subjects. Participants were either given a 150 mg IGOB131 extract or a matching placebo 30-60 minutes before lunch and dinner.

The results were impressive, to say the least. “Significant improvements in body weight, body fat, and waist circumference as well as plasma total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, blood glucose, C-reactive protein, adiponectin and leptin levels were observed in the IGOB131 group compared with the placebo group.” [1]

Assuming Irvingia Trim contains genuine IGOB131 extract, the supplement has the potential to help you lose weight when combined with a healthy diet and exercise program.

However, there are countless African mango supplements claiming to use IGOB131 but secretly provide tainted ingredients.

Currently Gateway Health Alliances, Inc. holds the patent for IGOB131 and its various logos and formulas. According to Steve Hasid, patent and trademark counsel for GHA, there are “knock-off infringers” who try to make a profit off African mango’s popularity. [2]

Although GHA is launching a campaign to remove these knock-off products from the market, there’s still a few that manage to slip through. Whether Irvingia Trim is an infringer is unknown.

Safety Concerns and Side Effects

If Irvingia Trim contains pure IGOB131, then consumers have very little to worry about as far as side effects are concerned.

Most studies show African mango is well tolerated by most individuals and is safe to use on a regular basis. Due to its high fiber content, a few users experienced mild gastrointestinal distress but this symptom is rare.

Is Irvingia Trim Easy to Use?

One of Irvingia Trim’s best features is easy use. Simply take ½ dropper twice daily, 30 minutes before eating. Because the drops are designed to be absorbed under the tongue, the manufacturers used “natural flavors” to make it more palatable.

In order to get the best results, use Irvingia Trim alongside a healthy diet and regular exercise program.

Where to Buy Irvingia Trim

Although there are several websites claiming to provide an “exclusive free trial” of Irvingia Trim, only sells the genuine formula.

For a product that contains only one weight loss ingredient, the price is a bit steep:

• 1 Bottle: $49.95
• 2 Bottles: $79.95
• 6 Bottles: $199.95

Fortunately, there is a 30 day money-back guarantee. If you don’t like your results, simply return the remaining portion for a full refund.

More About the Manufacturers

Unfortunately, does not provide any information about the manufacturers. There is a return address located in Scottsdale, Arizona – but the address is supplied by a virtual office company that supplies drop off points for online businesses.

The company could be run by anyone, anywhere – this doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in Irvingia Trim’s formula.

Is Irvingia Trim Worth Trying?

Irvingia Trim is not new, revolutionary, or advanced in any way. It follows the same popular weight loss approach as many diet pills before it.

The African mango in Irvingia Trim may help you lose a few pounds, but don’t expect a mind-blowing miracle. The research is promising, but the supplement cannot compensate for poor lifestyle choices.

Although it has potential, Irvingia Trim is over-priced. Until I know more about the manufacturers, I’m not willing to gamble my money on a questionable product.
